Children should arrive at school between 8.45 and 9.00 am, when Mrs Walker will be in the main playground to supervise them.
Please do NOT leave children unattended in school before this time for their own safety. Thank you.
With the nights drawing in please can I remind you of the potential dangers of travelling home from school. The road is unlit and pedestrians can easily be missed. If your child is walking home in the evening please can you endeavour to provide them with something reflective or of a light colour to wear in order that they can be seen by motorists.
This is always a high spot of the term for all the children as the Animal Wildlife Service bring a number of creatures into school – mammals, birds, reptiles, etc., etc. They tell them about their different needs and characteristics, food chains, natural habitats and give them a chance to ask questions.
I would be grateful if you could send a contribution of £1 towards the cost of this talk. Many thanks. (In a named envelope please!).
This is when the children can wear what they want – within reason – in exchange they need to bring something that could be put in a Christmas Hamper – chocolates, tins, crackers, etc.
Christmas Bingo – Please would anyone be willing to be our `Caller` for this evening? If so please let the School Office or a member of the FCSA Committee know as soon as possible. Thank you.

We are searching for a `man with a red coat and white beard` to visit our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 10 December. If you can help please let the School Office or a member of the FCSA Committee know as soon as possible. Thank you.
After a period of acute illness and a lengthy period of recovery I am sad to say that Mrs Gamlin has been advised to take ill-health retirement from her post at our school.
Mrs Gamlin started at Cheddon School in April 1982. Over her 23 years with us many children have benefited from her support with their learning, her good humour and a gentle `listening ear`. We have all missed her over the past months and so would like to present her with a token of our thanks and appreciation for the 23 years she gave to our school.
If you would like to make a contribution to the collection please could you send your donation into the School Office by 9 December. Thank you.
Miss B G Henshaw
