It is possible that a decision may be taken to close the school early (due to rapidly deteriorating weather conditions). In such a situation you will be contacted to come and collect your child. NO CHILD WILL BE SENT HOME ON THEIR OWN.
· PLEASE ENSURE YOU CAN BE CONTACTED IN SUCH AN EMERGENCY WHETHER YOU ARE AT HOME OR WORK.
· DO WE HAVE YOUR PRESENT TELEPHONE NUMBER PLEASE?
· DO WE HAVE YOUR WORK/EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER PLEASE?
Arrangements have been made during previous emergencies for broadcasting of information about schools. The appropriate frequencies are:
Radio Bristol & Somerset Sound 95.5 FM & 1548 MW & 1566 MHz Orchard FM 96.5 FM
In exceptional circumstances the Corporate Director of Education may decide after consulting with the Emergency Services operating the Major Peacetime Emergency Plan, to close all establishments in the County. When this happens information will be broadcast on radio and television.
Hoping for a problem free winter.
