“Good work has been done in this school notwithstanding the large amount of sicknefs among the children and great irregularity from this and other causes during the year. In view of these adverse circumstances the results of the Examination, which give evidence of painstaking and skilful teaching, may be said to be quite satisfactory taken as a whole. More Reading books are required. The new class –room is a most useful addition to the Premises” – E. L. Sparkes has pafsed fairly. GM

7th May 1894 Visit of Rev G. Unwin – who gave scripture lesson and received Penny Bank fees. Mrs Musgrave called to assist with needlework.
8th May 1894 Mrs Allen visited school to-day and promised to send needlework materials for girls’ sewing.
11th May 1894 School dismissed for Whitsun holidays. Present 26. School to reassemble May 21st.
21st May 1894 School began with a very fair attendance. One little girl admitted to Infant Class. The Nashes who for many weeks have been afflicted

with diptheria and fever have left the school and neighbourhood.
25th May 1894 Taught Infants “Hush-a-by-baby”. A new song. The average for the week is 22 – the highest this year.
